The data collection cycle for this year’s Rail Sustainability Index (RSi) kicked off on 30 June and will remain open until 30 September 2025. UIC members are invited to enter their sustainability achievements and contributions in line with seven key UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A total of 43 key performance indicators are collected and benchmarked, with each member receiving their own score report and badge.

UIC members are invited to input their data for the 2022–2024 period into the RSi tool. To be part of this year’s benchmark and results, members need to complete the report by 30 September 2025. Individual scores will be calculated for each company and sent at the end of the year. Additionally, each company that inputs data into the RSi tool will be given a label corresponding to its score. “UIC members are invited to support this collective initiative to make rail’s sustainability credentials visible.”
